FAQ

Breakfast: 8:00-10:00 AM

A full breakfast is served in the dining room between 8:00 and 10:00 AM unless guests request an alternate time. The coffee pot is usually on by about 7:00 AM. Let us know if you need us to brew decaf for you. We serve a set menu but try to remain flexible, just visit with us if you need a “to go,” an earlier breakfast time, or if you have any dietary restrictions, allergies, or food preferences so we can make your breakfast a pleasurable experience.

Guest Mini-Kitchen

The guest mini-kitchen area is located in the dinning area. You’ll find a microwave in this area and a mini-fridge on the back porch if you wish to keep anything cold. We have plenty of ice and an ice bucket available on request. Help yourself to a cup of tea, hot chocolate, bag of microwave popcorn, or a chocolate chip cookie from our cookie jar any time day or night.

Bathrooms

Three (3) of our guest rooms have private bathrooms. The Grandma's Room features a private bath with an antique claw foot “soaking” tub.  Light the candles and unwind as you leisurely indulge in an old-fashioned bath.  Two of our upstairs rooms, the Legacy room and the Michigan room have full bath facilities with showers. The main level bathroom has a tub/shower and double sinks and serves our Cabin room guests and is shared with the innkeepers.

Smoking

Maple Street Bed and Breakfast is smoke free. Smoking is not allowed anywhere on the property. We ask that you refrain from smoking in your room, in the house, on the deck, porch or grounds.

Gathering Room

The gathering room is another area provided for you to relax,  read a good book, sit and visit with friends and family. The guest library is located in this area. Please check with us regarding a book you would like to borrow and return later. Piano and guitar books are located in the bookshelves beside the fireplace for those who want to sit at the piano and play some tunes.

Cable TV

Family package Mediacom cable TV is available for all rooms. Let us know if you would like to view a DVD or VHS movie and relax in your room.

Please call to discuss our children policy. Our rooms are designed for 2 persons per room. Parents will pay an additional $10.00 per night for any guests stay over 2 persons.

Pets: We understand that your pet is a part of the family, so bring them along when you stay.

Pets are welcome in 3 of our 4 rooms. Owners will pay an additional $10.00 per night per pet. Owners must control pets at all times while on the property. Lamoni has a leash law and noise ordinance, so violation of this will be pet owners responsibility and liability. Never leave your pet alone in the rooms, except during breakfast hour. Please do not allow your pet to roam the house or grounds without being leashed or without their owners. Pets can be walked anywhere outside on grassy areas. Pet deposits must be picked up immediately. Pets are not allowed on furniture or bedding. Please bring pet bedding with you. Pet owners must clean pet paws when entering the house during wet weather or when pet is visibly soiled. Guests must sign a statement, agreeing to adhere to our policies listed, to be responsible for any damage done by the pet, and to absolve the innkeepers of any liability if the pet is injured or found in violation of city laws and ordinance. If you require a seeing-eye dog we will waive
